Boykins – Roy Taylor Edwards, III, 70, passed away March 20, 2026 in East Pavilion.

Taylor was born on August 15, 1955 in Roanoke Rapids, NC and raised on the family farm in Little Texas, VA.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Edwards of Conway, NC; his son, Robbie Edwards of Conway, NC; his mother, Joyce Spence Edwards of Boykins; two sisters, Bonnie Lynn Edwards of Boykins and Cheryl Edwards Davis of Murfreesboro, NC; two brothers, Dean Brent Edwards (Tammy) of Franklin and Carlton Kent Edwards (Lisa) of Wakefield; Niece, Katelyn Vann Edwards; nephew, Bryan Kent Edwards (Brittany); great nephews, Jakob and Tate Edwards; and a great niece, Macie Jean Edwards.

Taylor was predeceased by his father, Roy Taylor "R.T." Edwards, Jr.; a sister, Stacie Edwards; a nephew, Clayton Michael Edwards; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Davis.

A Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 PM Monday, March 23, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the Boykins Fire and Rescue or Newsoms Fire Department.
