Franklin- Rosa Jane Whitby Duke, 74, passed away November 3, 2015 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg. She was a native of Greensville County and was a daughter of the late Percie James and Fannie May Braswell Whitby. She was also predeceased by her husband, James Marshall "Jimmy" Duke and a sister, Edna Mae Thorpe.

She was Baptist.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Teresa Ann Kent (David) of Como, NC, three sons, Kenny Blythe of Conway, NC, Ray Blythe and Glenn Blythe both of Franklin, one sister, Alice L. Zimmerman and six brothers, Jessie, Jimmie, Richard, Percy, Thomas and Billy Whitby, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8PM Friday and suggests that any memorial donations be made to a favorite charity. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
