Franklin – Rosa Warner Bristow Hawn, 91, passed away March 13, 2026 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Born in McDowell, VA, she was a daughter of the late Sewell Jackson Warner and Gertrude McCray Warner.  She was also predeceased by husbands, Jasper Carpenter, Jr., and Donald Bristow; a son, Tony Carpenter; daughter, Debbie Alexander; sister, Betty Hammer; and brothers, Jack Warner and I.G. Warner.

Rosa was a 1953 graduate of Monteray High School.  She was a retired District Sales Manager for Stanley Home Products and a member of Jordan's Crossing in Suffolk.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kimberly Curtis (Jim) and Sharon Jett Thomason (Bobby); two grandchildren, Jacqualine Jett and Tiffany Hinkle (Landon); and two great grandchildren, Elijah Copeland and Maverick Hinkle.

The family wishes to acknowledge Glenn Ray Pierce and family for the love they showed Mama throughout the years, also her "daughter on the hill", Ms. Sue Hunter for her loving presence in Mama's life.

We wish to acknowledge Mama's son-in-law, Mr. Kirk Alexander, who was our beloved Debbie's husband, as well as his son Wesley for their years of devotion to our mother.  She loved them dearly as well as her daughter Kim and Jim's children James and his wife Amber, and their daughter Anastaistia, Tyler, Taylor, Rye, and Emmerson and beautiful Stephanie.  She loved her stepson, Will, Jim, and Jeff Bristow and was so proud of her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3PM Monday, March 16, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
