Franklin – Ronald James "Ron" Reed, 64, passed away April 27, 2014 at his home. Ron was born in Washington, DC and was formerly of Hampton. He was a son of the late James and Alice Levi Peed and was also predeceased by a son, Ronnie Peed and a brother, Stephen Peed.

Ron was a retired self-employed commercial painter.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Melody Coleman Reed; a daughter, Alex Reed of Pioneer, CA; three sisters, Brenda Suggs and her husband, Rev. Ralph Suggs of Smithfield, Linda King of Ivor and Margaret Stacey of Smithfield and a brother, Joey Peed of Hampton.
