Virginia Beach – Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Kirkland, 62, passed away June 19, 2018 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Ronnie was a native of Boykins and was a 1973 graduate of Southampton High School, Paul D. Camp Community College and Old Dominion University. He was a Budget Officer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a member of Boykins Baptist Church.

Ronnie was predeceased by his mother Edith Griffin Kirkland. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Allison Jeanette Kirkland; his father Ollie Wayne "Mutt" Kirkland (Betty) of Boykins; one brother David Wilson Kirkland and a niece Jessica Lynn Kirkland both of Virginia Beach.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Boykins Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Biggers and Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating.  Burial will be private.
