Como, NC – Rollins Earl "Buddy" Silverthorne, 63, died January 7, 2009. He was born in Pitt County, NC, a son of the late Jessie R. and Olivia Beacham Silverthorne, and was predeceased by two brothers, Eddie Brown and Roland Silverthorne, Jr. Buddy was a retired painter and a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice "Pat" Hand Silverthorne; three daughters, Kay Jackson, Patricia Silverthorne, Rhonda Pierson; two sisters, Margie Story, Ola Gray Spence; and a brother, Johnny Brown; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Willis Switzer and the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
