Zuni – Roger Carlyle Spencer, 71, passed away July 3, 2018 in his home. Roger was born in Chesapeake to the late Wilford and Ruth Ives Spencer and was predeceased by two brothers, Allen Spencer and Freddie Upton. He was a graduate of Great Bridge High School, a US Army Veteran, and a retired long distance truck driver. Roger was a member of Purdie Masonic Lodge #170 AF & AM and Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years Audrey Ewell Spencer; two daughters Sherrie Davis (David), Linda Smith (Christopher); one son Larry Marshall; three sisters Wanda Taylor (David), Donna Nicely (Shane), and Millie Davis; three brothers Mike Spencer, Gary Spencer (Marie), and Wilford Spencer, Jr.; five grandchildren Adam, Andrew, and Austin Davis and James and Katie Smith; one great-grandchild Pasley Smith; and nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating.  Burial will be private. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
