Franklin – Rochelle Person Worrell, 88, passed away on February 14, 2025 in her home with her family by her side.  Born in Newport News and raised in Boykins, she was the daughter of the late Walter Bernard "Perk" Person and Lucille Fox Person.  She was also predeceased by her husband, Bobby Bradshaw Worrell, and a daughter, Abbie Fox Worrell.

Rochelle was a graduate of Boykins High School and Chowan College.  She loved her church, her country, and her community.  Rochelle was a member of Franklin Baptist Church for over 60 years.  Many of those years included teaching her beloved Faithful Workers Sunday School class.  Rochelle was also involved in numerous Southampton County clubs and organizations.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Sheree Worrell; a son Bobby Bradshaw "Brad" Worrell, Jr. and his wife Roze; and a brother, Walter Bernard Person, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Monday, February 24, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Gibson officiating.  Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church.  Her family would like to thank the amazing caregivers that lovingly cared for their mom/mother-in-law for the last few years.
