Robert Dee "Bobby" Thomason

Franklin - Robert Dee “Bobby” Thomason, age 69, passed away on August 1st. Bobby was predeceased by his parents Irvin Thomason, Sr. and Virginia Hawkins Thomason and his brother Harold Glenn Thomason.

Bobby graduated from Franklin High School and retired from International Paper after 34 years. He volunteered at the Southampton Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Courtland and could always be counted on to lend a hand to everyone. Bobby was a long-time member of Bethel Assembly of God. His faith in his creator and his ever present smile and devotion to his family and friends are the hallmarks of his life.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Sharon Jett Thomason, daughter Jacqualine Jett and grandson and best buddy Elijah Jett Copeland in addition to children Scott Thomason and Sara Thomason Martin. He will forever be remembered by brother, Henry Thomason (Cindy) and sister, Judy Phelps. In addition, he leaves behind nieces and nephews Shelly Thomason, Beau Thomason, Lisha Cappellino and Michael Phelps, plus great nieces and nephews and many loving cousins.

The family is grateful for everyone’s concern and care. Be kind to each other. A Memorial Service will be at 10AM Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Bethel Assembly of God. No flowers please.
