Carrsville – Robert Melville "Bob" Gardner, 72, passed away February 3, 2025 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  A life-long resident of Carrsville, he was the son of the late Lawrence E. Gardner, Jr. and Grace Lee Bradshaw Gardner.  He was also predeceased by his wife, Linda Gail King Gardner, and his brother, Lawrence E. "Larry" Gardner, III

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Lisa Marie Gardner James of Fredericksburg, VA, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins and friends.

Bob was a valued employee at Butler Paper Company for 15 years and an avid fan of the band Alabama.  He attended as many Alabama concerts as he could along with friends and they even went to Alabama to the home of Randy Owen for a special concert.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1PM Friday, February 7, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
