Sedley- Robert Dale Blythe, 59, passed away November 25, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Dale was born in Franklin and was a son of the late Sherman Lankford Blythe and Alma Ezzell Blythe.

He was a graduate of Southampton High School and Manager of Charlie's Glass. Dale was active in youth sports and was a member and coach in the Sedley Recreation Association.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Hodges Blythe, his daughter, Tanna L. Bennett (CJ) of Corapeake,NC, three sons, Dereck Blythe (Ashley Smith), Chaz Blythe and Colby Blythe both of Sedley, three brothers, Donnie Blythe of Sunbeam, Carl Blythe of Sedley and Jerome Blythe of Norfolk, two grandchildren, Lexi Campbell and Devan Bennett.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Courtland Baptist Church with the Rev. Hoyle Green officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday.
