Sedley – Robert Junior "Pete" Allen, age 86, of Sedley, passed peacefully on January 4, 2022 with family by his side.  He was the husband of the late Dorothy Allen and the son of the late Henry Roscoe and Rose Moore Allen.

Pete drove a truck for many years and retired from Chemical Leman Tank Lines in 1993 with 30 years of service, receiving the Million Mile Safe driving Award.  He continued his love for trucking as an employee of Burgess Trucking until his recent sickness.

Survivors include his children, Robert L. Allen (Theresa), Cathy Bradshaw (the late Mark Ricks), Cheryl Williams (Steve) and Laurie Narducci; five grandchildren, Michelle Benson (Kevin), Whitney Worrell (Charlie), Ashley Gavin (Hudson), Shane Bradshaw, and Travis Starke; nine great grandchildren which he dearly loved; a sister, Rose Phillips; a special sister-in-law, Christine Gordon; a brother-in-law, Louis "Bobby" Powell (Linda); and special friends, Earl and Cecil Burgess.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Faison officiating.  The family will receive friends at their home, 31073 Peachtree Avenue, Sedley.
