Windsor- Richard Anthony Waicunas, 67, passed away January 26, 2016 at his home. Rich was a native of Connecticut and was a son of the late Frank and Mary Waicunas. Rich was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War having served as a Staff Sargent with the 377th Combat Support Group. He was an excellent cook and had many pets whom he loved dearly. Rich was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and water sports.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved, Patsy DeLucia, a daughter, Tara Spielman (Ron), two sons, Jason Waicunas and Nate Waicunas (Lauren), two sisters, Shirley Russo and Nancy Philips, two grandchildren, Shannon and Max Spielman.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3 PM Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Southampton Memorial Park, Franklin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association,the American Diabetes Association or the Wounded Warriors Project. www.wright funeralhome.org
