Jernigan (Sue) of Franklin, Gene Jernigan (Nancy), and Steve Jernigan, all of North Carolina; his four sisters, Martha Jernigan (Don), Gail Jernigan, Linda Cartwright (Ray) and Judy Mizell (Lin), all of North Carolina; five grandsons, Paul Jackson (Ayumi), Taylor Jackson (Franci), Bradley Jernigan (Miranda), Nicholas Jernigan (Jackson), Michael Parker (Melissa); two great grandsons, Logan and Isaiah Parker and also a great grandson due in June; a sister-in-law, Rachel Chopps (Dan) of Florida; his Bronco Club friends; and his sweet dog "Abby" and The Cat "Patches".

The funeral will be conducted at 2PM Friday, March 26, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Preston Jernigan officiating.  The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one's choice.  The funeral service will also be livestreamed.
