Sedley – Rhonda Sue Beale Copeland, 75, passed away August 1, 2023, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Franklin and reared in Walters, she was a daughter of the late Fenton O. Beale and Esther Bradshaw Beale.

Rhonda was a 1966 graduate of Windsor High School and attended Southampton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a former LPN for the VA Dept. of Corrections and Courtland Healthcare.  Rhonda grew up in Mt. Carmel Christian Church and was the President of the UDC Jerusalem Chapter.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 48 years, James Clifton Copeland, Jr.; a son, Richard Bowen; two sisters, Betsy Creason (David) and Tracy Gnieski (Lee); a brother, Johnie Beale (Diana); Jimmy's children, Linda Copeland Gregory, Kathy Copeland Larson, Christine Copeland Cutchins, and James Clifton Copeland, III; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Monday, August 7, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Foreman officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or any favorite charity.
