Newsoms- Reva Vann Walton, 87, passed away May 9, 2014. Reva was born in Conway, NC, one of eleven children of the late Andrew Craig Vann and Lillie Sumner Vann. She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church and retired from the Technical Department of Union Camp Corporation after 32 years of service. She was a former member of the Newsoms Woman's Club.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 65 years, Keith Donovan "KD" Walton; three sisters, Julia V. Fowler, Montie V. Garris and Clonie V. Francis and one brother, Robert Vann and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Andrew, Royce, Vernon Lee and James Vann, and two sisters, Mary Davis and Edna Butler.


A graveside funeral will be held 2 PM Monday, May 12 at Hollywood Cemetery Newsoms with the Rev. James Hutchinson officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the home of Larry and Tammy Fowler, 27218 Cypress Bridge Rd. Newsoms and suggests memorials be made to either Newsoms Baptist Church or Newsoms Fire Department.
