Richmond, VA - Rebecca "Bekkah" Ellen Mejia, 42, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. She was a native of Lamont, California. She is survived by two brothers, Augie and Eric of California and extended family; including Rich Edwards her fiancée and her dog Lucy. Left to cherish her memory are many friends that she found along the way in life. She loved people and affected them in an encouraging way. She had an enthusiasm for life which she lived to the fullest.
A quote from Bekkah on April 4, 2011: "I have no regrets about the choices I have made to have a better life. Moving far away was a decision I made for myself so that I could one day be proud of myself. I don't have tons of money or a legacy of children, but I'm rich in experiences and fulfilled in love and life. Thank you God!"
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, January 26 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Wellesley Association Building, 3601 Lauderdale Drive, Richmond, VA 23233.
