Franklin – Rebecca "Becky" Eunice Myrick Branch, 85, widow of Lemuel A. Branch, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Myrick. Becky was a retired bookkeeper from Cypress Cove Country Club and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Donna E. Buhls and husband, Bobby and Penny E. Gray and husband, David, one son, Daniel M. Edwards and wife, Brenda, one step-daughter, Patricia B. Birdsall and husband, David, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating. Burial will be private at Poplar Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Sycamore Baptist Church. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
