Sedley – Phillip Brown Tart, 69, passed away on November 10, 2022 with his family by his side.  Born in Newton Grove, NC, he was a son of the late Percy B. Tart and Lea Brown Tart.  He was also predeceased by two brothers.

Phillip was a truck driver and a carpenter and served in the US Army.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Holt Ellis-Tart; a daughter, Lindsey Michelle Clifton (Justin) of Clayton, NC; a son, Jeremy Tart (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC; three step-daughters, Lisa E Turner (James), Renee E. Norris (Mike), and Allison E. Darden (Dan); a step-son, James Ellis, Jr. (Carolyn); a sister, Sharon Raynor (Edward) of Newton Grove, NC; four brothers, Wayne Tart (Shelia), Jerry Tart, Joe Tart, and Kevin Tart (Sue) all of Newton Grove, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Sunday November 13, 2022 at Corinth Friends Meeting.
