Franklin - Virgil Emerson "Pete" Miller, 85, passed away April 27, 2008. Born in Middlesex County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Emma Mason Miller and was a retired dairyman and farmer. He was a 50 year member of Hunterdale Ruritan Club, a member of the Virginia Dairyman Association and a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Betty Smith Miller, several nieces and nephews and a cherished friend, Charles M. Saunders, III. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bradley and William Miller.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am. Tuesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Crump officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to a charity of choice.
