Capron – Jesse Lee "Pete" Jarratt, 88, passed away November 4, 2020 in Accordius Health at Courtland.  Born in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Jesse Herman Jarratt and Olivia Fuller Jarratt and was also predeceased by his wife Peggy Driver Jarratt, two sisters, Sallie Gordon and Mattie Lou Jarratt, and four brothers, William, Jimmy, Herman and Otha Jarratt.

Pete was a US Army Veteran serving as a MP in Korea.  He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a member of Capron Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Lee Jarratt (Gail) and Lloyd Lee "Peppy" Jarratt (Tammy); six grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, Jorden, Jason, Denise, and Michael; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2PM Friday, November 6, 2020 in Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Ron Carr officiating.  The family suggests that memorial donations be Capron Baptist Church.
