Franklin- Peggy Barnes Wright ,89, widow of Jimmy Wright, passed away March 10, 2015 after several years of declining health.

Survivors include three sons, Jim (Lorelee), Barky (Kathy) and Stephen (Sandy), three grandchildren, Catherine Anne Wright, Amanda W. Burns (Colin) and Jack Wright, one great grandchild, Connor Burns, one sister, Nellie B. Eastridge (Roby) and one brother, Jimmy B. Barnes (Judy).

She was predeceased by two sisters, Susie Rambo and Jackie Barker and one brother, Tommy Barnes and her parents, Thomas and Jessie Barnes.

She was born in Kingsport, TN and had lived in Marion, Wytheville and Damascus, VA before residing in Franklin ,VA for the last 66 years. She attended Emory and Henry College and was a former nurse and a former owner of Wright Funeral Home in Franklin.

She was laid to rest in a private graveside service, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Poplar Spring Cemetery in Franklin.
