Franklin – Peggy Joanne Burgess, 75, passed away January 6, 2014 at her home. She was born in Ahoskie, NC, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ima Hoggard Bracy.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 59 years, James Herbert Burgess; two daughters, Darlene B. Ingle, and husband, Sammy, of Franklin and Cheryl B. Reed, and husband, Curtis, of Corpus Christi, TX; one son, Timmy Burgess, and fiancé, Sissy, of Franklin; one sister, Jane Davenport of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
