Franklin – Pauline W. "Polly" Stephens, 97, passed away May 4, 2025 in Consulate Health Care of Windsor.  Born in Gates County, NC, and a long-time resident of Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Berry Olando Whitehurst and Addie Barnhill Whitehurst.  She was also predeceased by a son, Allen Dennis Whitehead; a sister, Betty Vaughan; and three brothers, Melvin, Jesse and Willie Whitehurst.

Polly was a graduate of Gates County High School and a retired insurance agent.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Marcia Pierce (George) and Wanda Eisenhauer (Jeff).

A visitation will be from 11AM to 12PM Friday, May 9, 2025 in Wright Funeral Home.
