Franklin – Pauline Joyce Ambrose, 98, passed away March 10, 2024 in her home. Mrs. Ambrose was born in Rustburg Virginia and grew up in Portsmouth. She was the daughter of the late Dallas Washington Keesee and Pearl Elizabeth Elliott Keesee. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Kenton William Vellner, Sr. and a brother, James William Keesee.

She was a graduate of Wilson High School and was a retired Accountant for the Department of Defense. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 15 years, Gaylord Gealon Ambrose, one son, Kenton "Bill" William Vellner, Jr. (Tammy) of Detroit Michigan, one grandson, Glen Vellner, a step daughter, Betty Ambrose of Norfolk, a step son, Butch Ambrose (Patsy) of Windsor, and a sister, Jean Duvall of Baltimore, MD.

A memorial service with Eastern Star rites will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 18, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Moore officiating. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Union Missions or to the Salvation Army.
