Franklin – Patricia Hubbard Beamon, born on June 4, 1946, in Dinwiddie, VA, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, at the age of 78. A proud mother, cherished grandmother, beloved wife, and esteemed community member, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering faith.

Patricia was the beloved wife of James "Larry" Beamon for 40 years. Their deep and enduring love was evident to all who knew them. Larry's steadfast support and companionship enriched Patricia's life and the lives of those around them.

Patricia dedicated 25 years of her life as a Private Duty Nurse at Village Woods Edge and East Pavilion, providing compassionate care and comfort to those in need. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart were evident in her work and her interactions with her patients.

A devoted member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Patricia's faith was central to her life. She found joy and solace in her church community, contributing to its spiritual and social fabric.

In addition to her dedication to her work and faith, Patricia had a deep love for dancing. Whether twirling around the living room or joining in family and community events, her lively steps and infectious laughter on the dance floor reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.

She shared a special bond with her best friends, Dianne Barret, Maggie Cole, Brenda Atkins, Kenneth Everett. Their friendship brought immense joy and support to Patricia's life, creating many cherished memories and exemplifying her warm and welcoming nature.

Patricia was the loving mother of John Wesley Atkins (Teresa), Ricky Lee Atkins (Brenda Lou), Ronald Patrick Atkins (Susan), and Amanda Simmonds (Keith). She was a proud grandmother to Gabrielle Atkins, John Bryant "JB" Atkins, Ethan Atkins, Lindsay Atkins, Christian Atkins, Dalton Simmonds, and Aiden Simmonds.

In addition to her grandchildren, Patricia was blessed with many step-grandchildren: Crystal Blyth (Tyler), Nikki Babb (TJ), Andrew Vaughan, Victoria Brito (fiancé Dave), and Shannon Bradshaw (Doug), along with six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Detrick Lee Hubbard; mother, Annie Bell Hubbard; and brothers, Daniel Hubbard and Detrick "Det" Hubbard. Patricia is survived by her siblings, Esther Griffith and James Hubbard (Barbara).

A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on August 17, 2024, at 2 PM at Beaver Dam Baptist Church (3593 Carrsville Hwy, Franklin, VA 23851), with Pastor Jamey Atkins officiating. The family invites all who knew and loved Patricia to honor her memory and attend the ceremony. A fellowship reception will follow the service.
