Virginia Beach – Orval Lee Hodges, 88, formerly of Franklin, passed away June 24, 2026 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  Born on February 20, 1938 in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Roy Lee Hodges and Ethel Irene Neel Hodges.

Orval was a graduate of Graham High School Class of 1957 in Bluefield, VA and was a retired Receiving Clerk in the Shipping and Receiving Dept. at International Paper Company.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years, Rosemary Elsner Hodges; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Talledo; a son Frederick "Fred" Allen Hodges (Christina); and seven grandchildren, Alanah Hodges (Genevieve), Nicholas "Nick" Hodges, Isabelle Talledo (Noah), Ethan Hodges (Maddie), Miguel Talledo, Emily Martinez (Nick), and Laurie Martinez.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM Sunday, July 19, 2026 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
