Franklin- Nellie Chapman Johnson, 88, passed away April 18, 2016 at her granddaughter's home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Beckley, WV and was a daughter of the late Walter Vernon Chapman, Sr. and Ora Ola Kasey Chapman and was also predeceased by her husband, James Leland "Coochie" Johnson, a niece, Joyce Molnar, a nephew, Jimmy Holt and eight siblings.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Ronnie Lee Johnson of Newsoms, a granddaughter, Rhonda Johnson Vick(Timmy) of Newsoms, six great grandchildren, Robert Lee Vick, James Leland Vick, Amanda Faith Vick, Jayson Jacob Coulter, Barbara Marie Smith (Caleb) and LeeAnn Heath (Patrick) and four great great grandchildren, Chelsea Nikkol Smith, James Ethan Smith, Hannah Marie Heath and Daniel Lee Heath, a special nephew, Ray Newton Chapman (Rose) and a special niece, Rose Holt ,both of Black Creek.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
