Zuni – Nell Fleming Joyner, 90, widow of James Elisha "Jimmy" Joyner, passed away October 23, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Thomas William and Ethel Angel Fleming and was predeceased by a brother, Thomas William "Billy" Fleming, Jr. Mrs. Joyner was a former teacher at Carrsville High School teaching the last graduating class of the school. She also taught at Isle of Wight Academy retiring in 1973. Mrs. Joyner was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Tommy Joyner (Teri) and Gregory Joyner (Lori) all of Zuni; one sister, Eva Mae Fleming Scott of Amelia; four grandchildren, Kimberly Bentley (Kevin), Joshua Joyner, Zachary Joyner and Megan Joyner; and one great-grandchild, Waylon Bentley.

A graveside funeral will be held at 3 PM Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery, Walters with the Rev. Blake James officiating. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
