Zuni – Naomi Leigh Munford Russ, 32, died October 16, 2008. She was born in Alexandria, and was a graduate of Isle of Wight Academy. She was predeceased by a brother, David Hansel (Hans) Munford.
Left to cherish her memory is her one year old son, Carter Grayson Hobbs; mother, Nancy Ellis Patterson and husband, Vernon; father, John A. Munford, Jr, and wife, Patty; sister, Terri Munford Hoag; half-brother, Jason Munford; paternal grandfather, John A. Munford, Sr; nephew, Logan Todd Hoag; uncle, Thurman Munford and wife, Martha; and her fiancé, Eric Shane Edwards.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 am at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Charles Alvis and the Rev. Howard Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at the funeral home and suggests that memorials, in Naomi's name, be made to Wright Funeral Home, P. O. Box 743, Franklin, Va. 23851.
