Courtland – Nannie Gay Stieh Owney, 57, passed away January 11, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Nannie was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of the late Edward Mack Stieh, Sr. and Mildred Cutchins Stieh. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Edward Mack "Stick" Stieh, Jr. and Herbert Barham "Twig" Stieh.

Nannie was a graduate of Southampton High School and a homemaker.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Duncan Eric Owney, a stepson, Christopher Owney, a sister, Connie Stieh Barrett (Troy) of Zuni and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Bob Baum officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Hope Center, 105 B.
