Kill Devil Hills, NC – Nancy Vick Shackelford, 67, passed away August 31, 2018 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Nancy was a native of Suffolk and was a former resident of Franklin. She was the daughter of the late Herman Edward Vick, Sr. and Eloise Hedgebeth Vick and was predeceased by her husband Vernon Lee Shackelford, Jr., and brother Herman Edward Vick, Jr. She was a former member of Franklin Baptist Church and retired Executive Secretary for International Paper.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Jennifer Smith Carlson (Keith) of Denver, CO; three grandchildren Jack, Ben and Caroline Carlson; one brother Billy Vick (Joyce) of Holland; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Franklin Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Qualls and Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. www.wrightfuneral home.org
