Wichita, Kansas - Nancy Lynne Phillips Scott, age 64, peacefully passed away on August 9, 2024. Born in Franklin, Virginia, to Ed and Carol Phillips, Nancy's life was marked by her boundless compassion and dedication to others.

Nancy relocated to Wichita, Kansas, where she pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in geriatric care. Her passion for healing and her innate kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. In September 1979, Nancy married John Paul Jones, with whom she welcomed a daughter, Jessica Carol. Nancy later married Terrance Lynn Scott, and together they had three more children: Crystal Kichelle, Melanie Margaret, and Terrance Lynn Jr. Nancy also cherished her role as a grandmother to 11 beloved grandchildren. Nancy is also survived by her mother, Carol, a sister, Cindy Rubino (Elliot) and brothers, Eddie Phillips (Bonnie) and Scott Phillips (Amy) and a brother-in-law Rusty Chase. She was predeceased by her husband, Terrance, a sister, Karen Chase, and father, Edward Phillips.

Her nurturing spirit and caring nature touched countless lives.

A small memorial service will be held in her honor on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Affordable Cremations Plus in Wichita KS.

A Celebration of Life will be held at High St. United Methodist, 31164 Camp Pkwy., Courtland, VA on October 20, 2024 at 2pm.  Burial will be private.

Nancy's legacy of love and service will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
