Suffolk – Nancy Worrell Sawyer, 58, of Holland, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2011 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born December 27, 1952, she was the daughter of Jimmie and Inez Worrell. A Holland native, she graduated from Forest Glenn High School in 1971 and was a member of Holland Baptist Church. She prided herself on being a loving mother to her three sons, a devoted Nana to her two grandchildren, and a nurturer to the rest of the family. She was part owner and office manager of Repair Tech Industrial Contractors.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Worrell. She is survived by her mother, Inez Story Worrell of Holland, husband, William C. Sawyer of Holland; three sons and daughters-in-law, William Craig Sawyer, Jr. and Laura McDaniel Sawyer of Murfreesboro, Nathaniel Sawyer and Leslie Morgan Sawyer of Holland, and Michael Sawyer and Jessica Williams Sawyer of Holland; two grandchildren, Sam Tyler Sawyer and Audrey Camille Sawyer of Holland; two brothers, Marty Worrell and Patricia and Jim Worrell all of Holland; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. 4th Avenue, Franklin, with the Rev. Robert Bunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Care Foundation of Tidewater, P. O.
