Nancy-Lou Mayne Leonard, 68, died December 15, 2008 at the East Pavilion in Franklin, VA. Born in Potsdam, NY, she was a daughter of the late Dwight L. and Irene Williams Mayne. She was a graduate of the School of Nursing at Plattsburgh State University, Plattsburgh, NY, and was a former registered nurse and Girl Scout leader. She was a member of Saint Luke's United Methodist Church, Grafton, VA where she was a former piano accompanist for the children's chorus and men's chorus.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Ted G. Leonard; their children, Elizabeth K. Phillips and Kent A. Leonard; her sister, Marcia Welsh; a brother, David Mayne and four grandchildren, Cameron, Kira, Christopher, and Michael.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 2 pm at Saint Luke's United Methodist Church in Grafton. The family suggests memorials be made to your local Alzheimer's Association.
