Carrsville – Nancy Wood Carr, 76, passed away on October 15, 2022 in Sentara Obici Hospital after a 12 year battle with cancer.  Born in Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late George Marvin Wood and Pauline Dunn "Polly" Wood.  She is also predeceased by her husband, Ronald Everette Carr, Sr. and three sisters, Erma Rowsey, Joyce Davis, and Dottie Hahne.

Nancy was a graduate of Windsor High School and a secretary for Ronnie Carr and Sons Contracting LLC.  She was a loving and selfless mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald E. Carr, Jr. (Nanette), Brian K. Carr (Tammy), and Timmy M. Carr (Antonia Ray) all of Carrsville; three grandchildren, Dustin, Victoria (Cody), and Anna Carr; and a special friend, Ronnie Green.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with her son, Pastor Ron Carr officiating.  Burial will follow in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8PM in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers who took such good care of her.
