Suffolk – Murray Richard "Junior" Blanchard, Jr., 73, passed away July 13, 2025 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Born and raised in Nansemond County, he was a son of the late Murray R. Blanchard, Sr. and Ethel Baggett Blanchard.

Junior was a retired logger and attended South Quay Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Mary Lois Barden Blanchard; a daughter, Angela Blanchard; two sisters, Louise Riedy and Peggy Yoden; a brother, Jerry Riddick; and a grandchild, Alexis Blanchard.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in Southampton Memorial Park with Pastor Mark Warren officiating.  The family suggests that memorial donations be made to South Quay Baptist Church.
