Courtland – Mildred Anne Tomlin Gray, 80, passed away July 21, 2011 at the East Pavilion. She was born in Franklin, the daughter of the late Calsie James and Marjorie Cox Tomlin, and was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Bennie Charles "B C" Gray. Jr., and her brother, James Robert Tomlin. She was a 1950 graduate of Carrsville High School and captain of her high school basketball team. Mrs. Gray was a member of Courtland Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Connie Gray (Chip), Margie Davis (Bill), Betty Davis (Lew), Lorrie McClenny (Tom); three sons, Wayne Gray (Peggy), Randy Gray (Sylvia), Mickey Gray (Tammy); fifteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A graveside Service will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm today (Friday) at Wright Funeral Home and would like to offer a Special Thanks to the staff of the East Pavilion, Dr. Donald Bowling, and special caregiver, Wanda Williams for their wonderful care.
