Franklin – Mildred Cobb Johnson, 90, widow of Robert Emmett "Bobby" Johnson, passed away November 1, 2013 at Riverside Convalescent Center in Smithfield. A native of Franklin, she was the last of nine children of the late James Percy and Evie Gardner Cobb. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Diane J. Blankenship, of Franklin and Janet J. Hudgins and husband, Wayne, of Mineral; three grandchildren, Dayna Burton (Rick), Dara Epperly (Brent) and Tre Blankenship (Karen), and six great-grandchildren, Cole Barnette, Reagan and Carter Epperly, Ayden, Ashlynn and Landon Blankenship.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Edmund Pickup officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.
