Sedley – Michelle Lynn Klinefelter Porti, 51, passed away February 16, 2022 in Sentara Obici Hospital.

Michelle was a graduate of Christopher Newport University and received her Master's Degree from Virginia Tech.  She was working on her Doctorate from Liberty University.  She was a teacher in Portsmouth and Isle of Wight County and homeschooled her children through high school.

She was a member of Holland Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Robert Edward Porti; her mother, Diane Lucas Klinefelter; her daughter, Hannah Porti Miller (Derek); her son, Jakkob Alexander Porti; her sister, Deborah McGinley (Jeremy); and her grandpuppy, Waylon.  Michelle was predeceased by her father, John Robert Klinefelter, and her brother, Joseph Klinefelter.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3PM Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Holland Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30PM Saturday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Holland Baptist Church Children's Ministries and Missions.
