Courtland – Michael Story Williams, 70, passed away April 22, 2022 in Sentara Obici Hospital.  Born in Richmond and raised in Courtland, he was the son of the late Lawrence Nathanial Williams and Dorothy Story Williams.

Michael was a 1972 graduate of Southampton High School and a graduate of Newport News Apprentice School.  He was a long time farmer and was brought up in Courtland United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Diane Williams Custis (Dennis) of Onancock and Patricia Lyn Williams of Bailey, NC; a niece, Katherine Rodgers Custis of Onancock; and a nephew, Jennings Story Custis of Farmville

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
