Franklin – Michael Duane Ward, 64, passed away March 25, 2022 in Accordius Health at Courtland.

Michael worked for the 7-11 on Main Street in Courtland and was an avid fisherman.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Ellen Moore Ellis; two daughters, Becky King (T.J.) and Ashley Stover (Bryan); a son, Matthew Ward; three sisters, LouAnn Wright (David), Renae Powers (Dennis), and Lisa Williams; two brothers, Al Ward and John N. Ward, III (Bettie); five grandchildren, Piper, Atticus, Adelynn, Tyler, and Denae; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Chrissy.

Michael is predeceased by his father, John Norfleet Ward, Jr., his step-father, Harry Ellis and his step-mother, Marger Ward.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Friday, April 1, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Kidd officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
