Franklin – Michael Thomas Parker, 44, passed away February 19, 2017 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Newport News and was a son of the late Sharrone Diane Suthers .

He was a truck driver for International Paper and a member of River of Life Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Deborah Turner Parker, two daughters, Amber Cobb (Camden) and Sara Michalczyk (Theron), a half-brother, Joe Lanigan (Joy), three grandchildren, Cole, Raylan and Emily Cobb and special friends, Glenn and Paulette Cook.

A funeral will be held at 2PM Thursday February 23, 2017 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Scott Cornett officiating. The burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Children's Center of Franklin. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
