Franklin – Michael Dean Mooney, 70, passed away July 15, 2024 in his home    with his loved ones by his side.  Born in Indiana, he was a son of the late Willard Lee Mooney and Virginia Sue Hurley Mooney.

Mooney was a Navy Veteran and a retired truck driver.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, a cold beer, and spending time with his friends, family, and his dogs.

Left to cherish his memory is his companion of 20 years, Alice "Addie" Atkins, his brother, Steve Mooney; his step-daughter, LeeAnn Williams (Donnie); Alice's children Tina Showalter (Jeff), Evan Atkins; grandchildren, Calleigh, Tori, Layla, Hannah, Clarissa, Dean and Bryson; and his two dogs, Casey and Ellie May.

Services will be private.
