Mattie Emmaline Hatchett Scott, 82, widow of Alwin Brandon "A.B." Scott, Jr. passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Dunlop House in Colonial Heights, VA. Mrs. Scott, a native of Penhook, VA in Franklin County was the daughter of the late Henry Taylor and Mattie Belle Palmer Hatchett. She was predeceased by two brothers H. Giles Hatchett and Talmage M. Hatchett. Emmaline was a member of the High St. United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Randolph "Randy" Scott and wife Pamela of Glen Allen, Andrew Henry "Andy" Scott of Richmond; brothers, Robert T. Hatchett and G. Randolph Hatchett both of Penhook; two grandchildren, Lori Nicole Scott Fazio and husband Nick and Shannon Marie Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30PM Monday, November 5, 2012 in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. John Ashley officiating. Memorial donations may be made to High St. United Methodist Church.
