Franklin – Mary Lee Whitehead, 87, widow of Roland Whitehead passed away June 23, 2018. Mary Lee was a native of Southampton County, was a daughter of the late Fadie and Daisy Cutchins and was also predeceased by a daughter Diane Horne and two brothers, Roland and Raymond Cutchins and a sister Violet Reid. She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church and was retired from St. Regis Paper Company.

Survivors include one son Wayne Whitehead and his wife Terry, two sisters, Sarah Horak (Rudolph) and Daisy Vann (Bob) and three brothers, Richard Cutchins (Mary Lucille), Rochelle Cutchins (Catherine) and Leroy Cutchins (Evelyn), a son-in-law Steve Horne (Rosemary), five grandchildren, Adam Horne, Eric Whitehead, Luke Whitehead (Lexi), Steven Brown and Amy Justus (Frank) and four great grandchildren, Emilee Whitehead, Hayden and Dylan Brown and Peyton Justus, and many special nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of East Pavilion South for their wonderful care.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday June 26, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Hoyle Green will be officiating. The burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association . www.wrightfuneralhome.org
