Franklin – Mary Dansey White, 82, widow of Lee Moorman White, Sr., passed away June 25, 2013. She was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Iva Lee Hooper Dansey.
Mrs. White was a longtime member of Bethel Friends Meeting. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild unconditionally. She will be greatly missed by us all.
Survivors include her three sons, Lee Moorman White, Jr., Robert Thomas White and wife, Mary Eva, and James Dansey White and fiancée, Velvet Uzzell; six grandchildren, Alexandria Lee White, Lee Moorman White, III, Mary Magdeline White Newsome and husband, Tim, Christopher Neal Howell and friend, Angela Sproul, Kayla Brooke White and James Dansey White, Jr.; one great grandson, Mason Karl Wanstall; and one brother, James Thomas Dansey, Jr.
A funeral service will be at 2 pm on Friday, June 28, at Wright Funeral Home with Wayne Blythe and David Hobson officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home and the family suggest memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
