Mary K. Beale

Franklin - Mary King Wall Beale, 79, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2007. Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Lucy Story King. Mrs. Beale retired from Crestar Bank and was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Floyd W. Wall, Jr., and her late husband, Edwin W. Beale, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Joan W. Surace and husband, Tony, of Chesapeake and Gail W. Wilkens and husband, Bob, of Minneapolis, MN; a son, Floyd Robert "Rob" Wall and wife, Marilyn, of Hilliard, OH; two step-sons, Edwin "Boogie" Beale, III of Zuni and James A. Beale of Franklin; two grandchildren, James A. Surace, III and wife, Jill, of Newport News and Mandy S. Baker and husband, Michael, of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to the Franklin Congregation Christian Church, 412 N. High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
