Obituary

Franklin – Mary Presson Turner, 84, widow of Meredith Aubrey "Dickie" Turner, went to be with her Lord January 17, 2024 in her home with her family by her side.  Born and raised in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Willie Henry Presson and Edith Story Presson.  She was also predeceased by her siblings, Margie Hunnings, Maude Presson, William Francis, Calvin Francis, Fletcher Francis, and Vernon Francis and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Turner.

Mary was a retired school bus driver for Franklin Public Schools and a former activity bus driver for The Village at Woods Edge.  She was a volunteer at Cooperative Ministry in Franklin and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Terry T. Davis, Deborah E. Turner (Dennis), and Edith T. Scott (Dale); a son, Meredith A. Turner, Jr.; six grandchildren, David Liverman, Amy Vaughan, April Liverman, Brian Bailey (Mandy), Spencer Scott, and Meredith Scott; nine great grandchildren, Courtney, Katelyn (Tyler), Cody, Brittany, Blake, Dylan (Zoe), Shelby, Savannah, and Ryne; three great-great grandchildren, Jamison, Korie, and Mavelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3PM Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the General Fund of Beaver Dam Baptist Church or Franklin Cooperative Ministry.
