Windsor – Mary Frances Roberts Rhodes, 98, passed away peacefully March 17, 2022.  Born on September 25, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John Goode and Marnie Wills Roberts of Windsor.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John J. Rhodes; two sisters, Olivia Robinson and Elsie Duke; and a brother, John Goode Roberts, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Kathryn R. Vaughan (Marion) and Bettie Jean Stephenson (Lawrence); a son, John J. Rhodes, Jr. (Yola); five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A long time devoted member of Colosse Baptist Church, she enjoyed her fellowship with the "Go Getters" senior church group, the "Windsor Homemakers" who were long-time dear friends that met regularly at The Burger King, and her weekly "Rook" card party games with the famous "Colosse Posse".  Mary Frances also enjoyed cutting her grass and driving the school bus.

A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held at Colosse Baptist Church at 3PM Sunday, March 20, 2022 with the Rev. Tim Webb officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service and suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to Colosse Baptist Church.
